Bidding now (18.35 Monday) at a brisk 16 quid. Have to say that I agree with Milltech; it looks like an invitation to bankruptcy to me! But "if only", as you say............

so what are you saying???

she's a beauty!, saw one in worse condition "cut up" using a small JCB type thingy... saddest thing iv'e seen in years.

a different time and place and you'd have me living on a boat like that... she'll outlast most of us!

downsdie of course is that when i spoke to Mrs Woman about it... well..... she was probably going out anyway!

so the reaction from the panel seems to be an emphatic "no" worst bit is, that i have to agree, totally impractical, and almost certainly lead to being proffesionally coinless!

shame really.... 'cos i like a nice party /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Better still try and prove it was once owned by La Monroe or similar and cut her up in 1 foot length planks and sell them off again on eBay each one with a hand crafted certificate of authenticity and an nice big seal on the bottom. "Your very own unique piece of history to own and treasure forever".

Come to think of it I did once suggest to the Lady Wife that I buy an old MFV at heel it in on the field below the house as a sort of exotic "shed", where I could pace the bridge with parrot and telescope without ever leaving home.

A little watered down, but something of the like could be done.

ah, so do i...

well actually i'll probably just sling the chrysler 30 outboard onto it and sell it on. looks like the inboard will have to go into another boat later on.

got to get rid of the launch as the time has finally come to start the restoration of fast monarch, and i'll need the space in the workshop.

just got to get a new trailer sorted (as some ass wipe stole mine!) .....(can i say that?) and i'll be finished in the garden, all rubbish .... rubbished and a workshop full of more dead boat bits!!!

oh, how i'm looking forward to this summer!

hope all is well with you and yours, see you at the next bash... steve.

my small nephew (3) saw the jolly roger hanging in the workshop (... i know...it's a poole thing), he now thinks that uncle stephen is a part time pirate!!!

... actually, it's a bit too near the truth for me!!!

can't wait till he sees the the boats i have!!!... no self respecting pirate would be seen dead on any of them.

She's still only at 104 quid - 14:00 3rd Feb.

oh ye of little faith....

never thought it'd make that much, but knew it was a winning boat....

still, wouldn't have paid that much for it!

i wish the new owner good luck, glad to see it probably won't be broken up.

Unreal or what Steve !!!, at least 2 solid months work to get the hull sorted and I bet the frames would have been affected to ?. Cabin and roof then the fitting out so I'm surprised it bid that high. After £400 I couldn't see the value as apposed to costs working out, me I'd have done the basics used it, re straight in and down Thames around the coast maybe get a year or two before scrapping it and selling the bits to get the dosh back.
Cheers
Mick
