Part 3 SSR - How Quick?

Takes a few days, you could call them to see how long.
It is a vital document to take.

Don't know how long but go to www.mcga.gov.uk and search on SSR. When I re-registered I got in touch via this page and they did the deed quite quick, BUT as I say I re-registered the boat. Good luck

Sorry ... Skyva got there 1st /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That bodes well. She previously had it and the hull is marked up with an SSR, but I'm pretty sure it expired.

Looks like I'll be able to Update/Re-register fairly quickly.

This is exactly the situation (re-registration) I was in when I purchased mine. IIRC it was all done very efficiently with a phone call and I got the document quite quickly.

Explain you have only just realised you need it for your planned French excursion and I'm sure they will pull out all the stops to get it sorted for you. Certainly the person I dealt with was very pleasant and professional.

N.B. Do it by 'phone ! There was a glitch when I tried to do this online.

So I spoke with a lady in Cardiff and have submitted my request via the internet.

Registered a "Change Of Ownership" for the expired certificate (1998) and was not charged - though I was told I would be...

Anyways, I'll call next week to check on the progress. Here's hoping!
