Part 1 Names

If one is trying to think of a new name for a part one registered boat how does one find the names that are already taken?

Some time ago someone posted a website on it ?

You can look in the MARS database - but that lags reality somewhat. Best bet is to phone Cardiff and talk to them - they were helpful when I was trying to get a unique name.

You'll have plenty of time to think about it, Cardiff is two months behind with part 1 registrations, and oblivious to the hassle it causes some boat owners.

Well bloomin 'ell, either they saw my last post or I spoke too soon, just had a call from Cardiff and they are fast tracking my application. They've had it since 11 May mind you, but none the less, credit where credits due, they are trying to help me out.
