Many people who like a bit of Sibbing come to Park Foot Holiday Park at the end of Lake Ullswater. It is a very nice site with excellent access to the Lake

we are here for a week in the Caravan and have brought the Honwave. This first day has been a bit of a wash out but we are still enjoying ourselves

Short video below

Certainly not drone weather ! Or boating for that matter. Hopefully weather will be better for you soon.

Its a lovely place in decent weather, with an excellent sailing club just down the road a short way.

PS. You might want to edit the title slightly - there is no “Lake” prefix for Ullswater (tautology with the water), just like there is no “Lake Windermere” or “Lake Loch Ness” :)

Thanks for your comment and it was raining all night. About the name that is interesting but very often people search for what people think things are called rather than the real names known by fewer people. For example I know a keen twitcher who insists that there is no such thing as a Seagull he is technically correct but most people would disagree

Nah! Most people like me use Seagull as a generic name for anything with feathers and vaguely white that lives near the sea ; and has a voracious appetite for any bits of a Chippie meal whether being eaten or in the trash bin.

Strangely enough if you are heading for a holiday between Keswick and Kendal you do not say I am going to The Waters. There is a use for the the word Lakes even there.

Here is a very short video of the campsite……
And people said everywhere is booked up ……..well it ain’t here as you can see

The weather is a bit Pants but we did actually manage to get out in the Boat this morning for a Breakfast cook up

If that ain’t a lovely place for a small boat adventure I don’t know where is

filmed on my new DJI Mini 3 Pro

With what I have just spent on a Caravan I could have bought a bigger boat. Did not really want to buy one, but when SWMBO gets interested in something you have to go with the flow.
The fact we live on the edge of the Lake District in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a Conservation Area already obviously is not enough.
Coachman Amara if anyone is interested.
