Can anyone tell me if paraffin has a shelf life? I've got about a gallon of the stuff that's around 4 years old and I want to use it in a Coleman pressure lamp, but don't want to risk gumming anything up.

Thanks

Fllter it and it should be fine but then you wouldn't fill a prssure lantern without filtering the paraffin anyway.

I've got a can of "Esso Blue" from the 60s - it's lost its colour but it still works fine in my Primus stove. ? I wonder if red diesel loses its colour in decades? Might be worth stashing some away for some "happy motoring".

Does anyone know the shelf life of diesel? Ive got chance of some at 58p a litre. I,m sick and tired of being ripped off by politicians and could store enough for a couple of years. On reading "Startron" info. they say if diesel is treated with their product it will store for up to 2yrs. Has anyone done it?
