Hi sorry probably not the right place to post (boat is for thames use tho :D ) I've been fixing a previous repair on the bottom and ended up painting the entire boat with a layer of fibreglass resin. I have some 2 pack paint which I was going to roll/brush on. Do I need primer first or will it be okay on the dried resin? I'll be doing a thick coat of paint

Cheers

You've used ordinary polyester glass fibre resin ?? Epoxy would have been better ...... but expensive.

See the manufacturers data sheet for the paint you are intending to use. That should tell you what preparation and priming is necessary. .. possibly an epoxy primer!.

But note that you cannot apply a two pack paint on top of a single pack paint so a primer such as International's Primocon or the equivalent cannot be used
