Hi Folks

I'm renewing the headlining on our boat completely.
Whilst it's down and new boards are being covered I wonder if there is anything to be gained by painting or Flocoating the underside of the deck and coachroof. The underside is currently just the raw inside of the deck moulding (CSM I think) and the boat is 33 years old.

Probably a stupid question but would a coat of aluminium paint give me any increased insulation? Or is flocoat the only stuff that would adhere?

As none of it would be seen when the headlinings go back up its probably a bit OTT but would welcome any views.

Have you considered using something carpet tiles?
This will give a nice finish and no drips during temperature extremes.

They are easy to cut and join to conform with curves and bends as well.

Good luck and fair winds. :)
