Painting over moulded in non-slip

Does anyone have any photos of original GRP non skid after being painted I was thinking of getting a 2 pack car paint made to the original colour

Originally the non skid areas were white. First time around I painted them a light silver grey. Second time a darker blue grey. ( a bit grubby in the picture)

But why a two pack car paint ?

I used Interdeck on my previous boat with good success, I did 3 coats over 11 years. It did wear thin but looked great when redone.

Be careful using 2 pack paints and additives, my new (to me) boat has had the deck done with Awlgrip and non slip additive. Where the top of the surface has worn the small additive grit has come out leaving many small pitholes which have become dirty and discoloured leaving a very scruffy looking deck. The additive is no-where near as even and uniform as the interdeck covering was. As it was done in two pack it is quite thick and in places around fittings it has chipped. I'm considering that kiwi deck stuff or a good sand and Interdeck, the only trouble with interdeck is the limited colour range.

I haven't yet used Jotun paint but have heard good things about it, have a look here: https://www.smlmarinepaints.co.uk/deck_paint/hardtop-hb
and click the 'choose colour' button, you will see they have a huge range of colours available.

(I ought to point out that I'm in no way connected with SML marine paints or Jotun, just in case anyone thinks I'm advertising!)

Hello, before you paint try 'Bar Keeper's Friend, it is a powder and comes in a smallish plastic bottle which tapers up from the base. I found some in Waitrose.
I was trying to get pollen stains off my deck last winter when my boat was in a yard with overhanging trees and a kind lady from a motor boat came over and offered some to me. It was dead easy to use, put a little on a damp cloth and rub, mine was on the non slip deck. Good luck, Kevin

It contains oxalic acid!

The best non slip is bird sand applied with a fine flour sieve over the wet paint then another thin coat over that to bind it in.
I know that sailboard manufacturers use sugar but I have never tried it
i have never had much luck with the commercial non slips
If you are painting over non slip & the paint wears on the tips of the non slip gel coat how do you propose to sand the old
stuff off if it gets a bit flacky due to, say, water getting under it
