I am about to paint the deck, and I'm considering using Kiwigrip.

I have been filling and sanding for what feels like years, and the surface is still not particularly smooth, so will this fill in the 'minor' imperfections in the surface? Or is there something which would do the job better?

Any advice welcome

Cheers

The decks of my ferro were in a right old state having been painted with a variety of non-skid goops over the years, plus various bits of deck hardware having been removed with holes badly filled.
Although it is expensive I opted for Kiwigrip after seeing some YouTube applications and have been very pleased with the outcome.
I took off the surface of the old paints with a coarse random orbital sander, more to get rid of contaminents and give a key than to fair-off.
After masking up the Kiwigrip was trowelled on and then textured using the applicator. Painting on gives too thin a coat.
The best bit... its water based so clean-up is easy.
Good luck with it.

I am also contemplating painting my decks with Kiwigrip so would be very interested in the outcome if you do go for it.
Agreed that all the videos and magazine reports on it look brilliant but it is expensive for a water based paint.
