Just been fiddling with some piccies. I don't usually get arty with photographs. I feel that photos are to capture the scene.
However this worked quite well.

I agree. I fiddle with photos quite a lot, but only to restore what I think was what I originally saw. At the risk of offending, I could do with a little less sky in the photo above, but that's my taste.

When digital pics first came to my camera club, we used to get a bit fed up when judges in our competitions allowed themselves to be dazzled by the impact of filter effects, usually the result of a couple of button presses. When I try, the result is usually pretty ghastly, like this dull photo which I only took because a friend got himself neaped on the posts.

Don't knock it. I like it - it's quite Monet or one of the other impressionists.
I'm sure there's a market for pictures like that, printed out A3 or even A2
Anyway T's and B's are for the lounge, not scuttlebutt !

I prefer the original
You're quite close to the classic one third background, one third main subject, one third foreground - but I doubt you need me to point that out!

This one was taken with the boat on dry land, and shows another boats spinnaker. The moored boats were drafted in for affect, and it was raining heavily.

Quite a good result I thought.
