So its well established that buttered toast lands butter side down, its also well known that cats when dropped always manage to land on their feet (nasty vermin in any case).

Its seems that a dropped paint tin lid always lands the right way up, avoiding a load of dirt getting onto the paint and needing wiping off.

This comes as a ray of sunshine in an otherwise cloudy world of trying to get the boat fixed up for summer.

I have forwarded your post to the RSPCA and their crack S.W.A.T. team are already on their way.

"STAND AWAY FROM THE CAT, SIR!"

Not if you tie their feet together first /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Now that's enough, you will be getting another dobbing in a minute! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Who you calling an old woman!!!?? That's fighting talk that is! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yes, Ben, there are brief, fleeting rays of sunshine if you are quick and you know what to look for. I was usually to be found in the Gent's room when they shone! Sometimes they shone on the boat next to mine in the yard, and in the momentary reflected glory, I would notice a flaw in the paintwork which would have otherwise have gone un-noticed until the boat was back in the water, when it would become obvious to every passer-by. One must be grateful for these mercies which are so casually bestowed upon us.
Peter.

I think a tin full of gribble worms dropped in the bilges of a certain Vertue, might be the way to keep a troublesome forumite busy?? Waddya think of that Hmmmmm? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Gribble! Pah!!

She has a bowl of them for breakfast every day.

A warning to all fellow forumites!

If Anteak ever puts his Vertue up for sale, run in the opposite direction, because the boat is just a wormy old bag!

Come to think of it, could be the problem with Anteak hiself!
Have you got worms then?? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Dunno 'bout worms - there's a mole around here tho'.

It's not still eating at you is it? The dobber I mean.

Forget it, just a twonk, with nothing better to do. They had a go at me back along, got quite nasty for a while, the mods were very supportive and it all just faded away. I put it down to some people on forums being just a tad anal retentive! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Mind you some of the twonks have been responsible for one or two valued members saying enough is enough, and voting with their feet, but they will have to be going some to get me to go away.

No, does not bother me. Not me who has the problem!

I say what I feel and, if someone does not share my sense of humour - tough.

I sometime find it very difficult not to express my revulsion of arrogance, piety, hypocrisy and dual standards. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I also quite dislike snobs although I can be quite snooty when in the mood. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks for your concern.
