Paint stripper

With lift out for the winter nearly on me, my attention is turning to removal of the horrible light blue deck paint which has been put over a decent non-slip deck. Has anybody got good first hand experience of using paint stripper for such a job and if so what stripper worked well for you?

I needed to remove a 'painted' boat name last year and used this http://www.marinechandlery.com/owatrol-marine-strip-paints-and-coatings-remover
It does not damage GRP.

Just brush painted it on with a dabbing action and left for 5 hrs, then just hose off or better jet wash off.

Had to use twice on one part but all the gloss paint came off clean.

Use gloves & goggles!!

Thanks, looks quite expensive given I have a 34ft boat and the whole deck to do! Will take a look at it anyway.

I was going to say that sodium hydroxide solution is very effective but it helps to add some thickening/gelling agent to stop it running off the painted surface. I decided to check Owatrol Marine Strip to find their hi-tech ingredient to justify £16 price.

Material Datasheet says it contains :
011-002-00-6 SODIUM HYDROXIDE
Risk phrase : R 35 Causes severe burns.

Gelling agent must be very expensive.
