Well, we spent a week in Padstow starting on 30th April, Doing various boaty maintenance sort of things.
We had not been to Oss day 1st May before and so took a few photos and videos but have edited them into one. Starting at 7am in the morning 1st May and finishing at 11pm on 2nd May,although we could here the drums and celibrations, till 1:30 I have also included a video of a band Phat Bollard who did 4 very professional sets over the weekend.(There are quite a few videos of them on youtube)
We had a great week of great weather.It was however overshadowed by the tragic events on the Sunday for which I offer condolences to the family.
I do wish to comment on the terrific response by the Coast Guard And SAR without whom the outcome
could have been much worse.The Padstow harbor staff also played their part with impressive efficiency.
I am sure they will always respond thus,despite the government spiteful cuts to services.
I applaud them all.
Over 30 years I have been in quite a few harbours I must say Padstow must be one of the best run
harbours and that is thanks to all the staff for there efforts to make the harbor such a pleasant place
to stay.I also include some of the local police who I know sometimes patrol on their rest days.
