the padlewheel of my Stowe log has disintegrated. Are there still Stowe spares available ? In case, no paddlewheel is available, is there a log using the same type thruhull fitting ? B&G and VDO seem to use a different thruhull then the Stowe.

AW Marine has any ex Stowe spares. However for myself I find his prices too high and his attitude condescencing so I researched and fitted a Simrad paddle wheel and rebearing my wind instrument by sourcing the bearing myself. It was not as hard a job as AW claimed but I do lay claim to have a bit of an engineering background however cowboyish others have claimed in the past.

I removed my Stowe Micro transducers and display units a few weeks ago as I'm replacing with new Navman kit.

If you're interested in any of it please drop me a PM.

Both transducers were working fine at the end of last season. I've cut both cables approx 18 inches from the trasducers.

Also have log and depth cockpit displays.

Depth display was working fine but I had to drill out 2 of the screw covers to remove it.

Log display in less good shape, has crack in the screen, the buttons don't work and it continuously switches from 4s to 16s aggregation seemingly for no reason.

thanks for the help. I will first try the Simrad. I have a small lathe to make adjustments.
