Looking over a boat with regard to purchase we have located a plaque with the O.N no' & tonnage marked.
The current owner has no documentation regarding to P1 so we suspect this has lapsed.
Typing the number into the search field on the RSS site only brings up a form to apply for registration.
Can it be possible to register the vessel using it's original P1 no' & do you think it's possible to obtain a transcript of the original registration?

Boat was built in 1996, sold to the current owner in 2004, bills of sale in order but no P1 documentation.

Anything we should be worried about?

You shouldnt need the registration doc as it is now like a log book (sheet) for a car ie not proof of ownership. You should have an MCA bill of sale and a conformity certificate from the broker to send to MCA and your registration should be no problem go to Here
and you should have it sorted /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
