Oyster 575

Was parked next to an oyster 575 today... but I'm a bit puzzled....

the anchor drain on both sides had port and starboard (red Green)tassels coming out of them (something like tell tales you have on a Genoa).

Any clues what they are 4 ??

Possibly to keep the drain holes clear.

I had blocked drains on a Moody & the bulkhead had water pouring thru it as we approached Gibraltar in a head sea, due to the locker completely filling up.

Well thats exactly what I found on the Moody!
Only found when we anchored off the east of the Rock & chain had run out.

Almost flooded the whole boat, with owner threatening to abandon ship.
Was about 0130 hrs, dark, wet, so not inclined to do that.
