Needing advice on mixing oxalic acid for removing staining from topsides, ie dilution percentage, etc, and how to apply it without it just flowing down?
Incidently I will have aprox 4 kg of it next week, if anyone in the Glasgow or surrounding area is needing any.
Cheers, C_W.

50 grammes of Oxalic acid crystals per litre of hot water.
A small amount of wallpaper paste - not much at all.
Don't let it dry, otherwise the glue goes hard.

If you add too much of the sticky stuff it's a bu99er to get it off again. Learned the hard way!

Thanks for your replies guys.
Jim I dident understand, "pour off from the crystals" can you explain? cheers.
Thanks Angus for the mix ratio.
Now I was hoping that a solution of pure oxalic would be much better than Y10 at removing these stains, as I have already tried Y10 and, although it removed most of them it dident remove the heavier stains above the water line, Will the oxalic remove these does anyone know?
Thanks, C_W.

Stick as many crystals into the water as you want. The resutling solution will only take up so much of them - that's your concentrated solution. The rest of the crystals just lie in the bottom of the jar, jug or whatever.

So pour off the solution leaving the un-dissolved crystals behind . . . or add more water to take them up into solution!
