Posted this on pbo but so chuffed with it I posted here as well.

Have just finished cleaning the hull with Oxalic Acid and a coat of hull polish. A few stubborn bits will need wet and drying but a huge improvement.

Banjo will now point 10° higher and do an extra knot and a half. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Cheers Andy . I had gloves, probably should have had goggles as well,I had a half gallon plastic bottle of fresh water in the dinghy to pour on myself if I got burned.

Theres a little bit here and there that I may have to use some fine wet and dry on but overall Im really pleased.

I would drive over and do it for you but my aching arms couldnt cope with doing another boat. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gifDoing it afloat from in the dinghy doesnt make it easy.

Don`t worry soon have it back to Bristol Channel brown next week! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Sorry for late post...been away a lot recently. I got oxalic acid in a 1kg container from Fiddes Wood Care, Brindley Rd, Cardiff, Tel. 029 2034 0323 (off Penarth Rd, near the pump house). Can't remember the cost, but not too pricey as I recall.
