I've quoted Vic above as this is very useful info.

I've just been given a large bag of Oxalic Acid crystals by a friend. The bag has been open in his shed for probably 10 years, will it have degraded?

I transferred it to a large drum, crushing any major lumps as I went; they all disintegrated fairly easily. Looks nice and clean, pretty much like castor sugar, so I guess a label would be a good idea on the boat :)

Will see you out.We use it industrially, but I have also had some on the boat for 10 years no problem and its not hydroscopic either so doesn't have to be in a sealed container.Just make sure the Authorities or kids don't mistake it for the big C!....I've been told they look very similar!!!!
