Some of the non-slip areas which are Kiwi Grip have some dark staining. Cream cleaner and scrubbing doesn't touch it so I wondered if oxalic acid would do the trick and if it's safe to use on Kiwi Grip paint?
Just mask the area and re Kiwi Grip. It is dead easy. Some of the non-slip areas which are Kiwi Grip have some dark staining. Cream cleaner and scrubbing doesn't touch it so I wondered if oxalic acid would do the trick and if it's safe to use on Kiwi Grip paint?
ITYWF KiwiGrip is an acrylic polymer.Oxalic is fine on 2 pack polyurethane paint but does stain and change the color of my anti fouling paint. So possible damqage to a one pack paint. Just try it on an area where damage does not matter. Or put oxalic on uniformly so any color change doesn't show up. ol'will
Interesting. Would Awlgrip go on over the Kiwi Grip?KiwiGrip seems to absorb all stains. The only solution I found was to repaint but it never lasts. Awlgrip products are a better solution but not cheap.
I'd have thought that the flexibility of the kiwi grip would lead to the hard Awlgrip flaking off. Just conjecture though.Interesting. Would Awlgrip go on over the Kiwi Grip?
