Owners report

Just had my owners report on my shaparral printed in June MBM. Not bad only slightly dissapointed in he lack of interior shots as i took some very good ones. Bit of British bias possibly looking at last Months but never mind still good to see it in print.

Hi Gary,

Just read the report, couldn't beleive at the end it quotes annual usage as 30-50 hours! is that right or a misprint? Got the impression reading the report that it would be a fair bit higher than that!!

Its an average on the engines and for the year we were in Deganwy we hardly got out due to the tidal gate breaking every good weekend. It is not quite what it seems as we have done 12 already this season. We are sometimes out all day and only put 2 or 3 hours on.

We do spend a lot of time drifting around the bay whilst fishing but i thought the average would have been higher. still 4 good seasons and 200 hours on the clock is right.

Yep. We were the Antares 9.80 earlier this year. Quite good fun really. Only problem I had was that my dad wanted to read it, but I didn't want my mum seeing how much we'd spent on the boat!! I know, I'm 43 and haven't lived at home for 25 years, but she can still give me 'that' look that makes me feel 12 again!

Yep, we had our report of our SeaRay 225 Weekender published in the July 2004 issue. I enjoyed writing the report and we had a great day out with a photographer and got some great photos of the boat.

I would recommend anyone write a report, it is a great way to pass on your first hand experiences to others.

There's a new Antares 9.80 parked near me this year. Looks a very nice piece of kit.

Bummer i had to take my own photos. Never mind its good to see your own boat in the mag isnt it.
