Owatrol ESP. Any good?

In pursuit of my never-ending quest for maximum return for minimum effort, I have just learnt of an Owatrol product called ESP [Easy Surface Prepartation]. The idea is that you wipe this stuff onto existing old paintwork and it cleans it and prepares it for further painting. No sanding required!

Sounds too good to be true. Is it? Any of you tried it?

Ive got something similar called "Liquid Sander". I have had it for yonks. Only used it once but as far as I recall it did prepare the surface of sound paint ready for repainting OK. Mine was made by International, that's International Ordinary Paint not Yacht paint.

I might be sensible to check out your favourite DIY store before paying swindlery prices

I have used ESP on formica and then painted,it seems to work
