In hope of help... I have teak and spruce covered in 2 coats of Sikkens HLS and then 2 coats Sikkens filter no 7. This needs a rub down and re coat in several places. As I'll be back to bare wood in places I'll need to buy the 2 different products.

However, I've read that International Woodskin can be applied on untreated wood and will adhere to any remaining Filter no 7 that may not be removed. I've also read that wood skin is a more durable product than the Sikkens product.

Can I replace 2 sickens products with 1 International (wood skin) product?

Woodskin replaces Sikkens Cetol Marine.

It is intended for application to bare wood but may be applied over Cetol Marine or itself.

Old varnish must be removed.

I agree with Vics and have used both the Sikkens Cetol and now Woodskin and find no difference in quality after International Paints to over Sikkens.

Woodskin covers teak very well both interior and exterior and after two years still very pleased with it.

My internal teak woodwork had been done years ago with Deks Olje so I lightly sanded over it then I 'rolled' the Woodskin onto the teak walls of the saloon, then lightly feathered it off with a brush, this gives a nice satin finish.

External I applied 5 coats to the gunwale tops after sanding back to bare wood and this has lasted well to date and is also easy to 'touch up' if any scrapes.
