Outhaul Loads?

I'm attempting to calculate the load on the mainsail (33m2) outhaul, I have found various formula for mainsheet, halyard loads, etc but not this.

Has anybody come across this information? (I'm guessing they must be reasonably high as I need to use the winch the adjust when under load but that could just be because of friction in the system)

are you talking of a straight pull to tension the foot or a leach cunningham
my out haul only "just" pulls the foot out to take out any creases, the slider it pulls takes any leach loading

Yep, same for me - just pull the outhaul and close the jammer, might need a bit of adjustment later...

Good point, I'm trying to ascertain the load on the outhaul at the mast base/rope clutch.

It will be adjusted according to conditions; very low in light airs and quite high in strong winds when you will want to flatten the sail to reduce heeling moment.
