I have twin Enfield 130 Outdrives on my 26ft William Osborne Kingswift motorboat. Would Fins bolted onto the legs help to trim the boat? And are the 'claims' about fuel saving true.
Got my old boat with one of these on and removed it eventually - its probably good if your severly under powered as it does help planing but in my case removing it increased my top and cruising speeds and reduced fuel consumption.
I used to have them (Doel Fins) on a previous boat that was powered by a 25hp Yam outboard. Certainly got on the plane earlier and stayed on it at lower speeds than previously.
Downside was loss of a couple of knots top speed and an increased tendency to yaw about in a following sea.
