The old Malta 3 HP needs a little professional work - rather than my inefficient attempts at services, albeit I have managed to keep her going for the last few years!
The boat's based on the Orwell, having moved from the Medway, where we continue to live. Believe me it's worth the drive! Either end workable
So, anyone able to recommend an outboard engineer?

No recommendation for an engineer but I walked past Boatacs the chandlers in Chalkwell the other day and they were advertising in their windows that they had for sale all the gear that you would need to set up as an outboard engineer.

Magic, thanks all. Outboard sitting in my garage, so wrong end, typical, but, Pin Mill very close to boat, so I'll ring Anthony and make arrangements.
Excellent.

For the sake of accuracy, the correct spelling is Antony Kettlety landline : 01473 788128

He lives in Shotley, but works from Harry Kings boatyard at Pin Mill.

Steve Marriot is very good but he is semi-retired in Sheppey. He and his wife ran Portguide Marine at Wateringbury on the Medway, speciallising in Mariner and Tohatsu engines. Does anyone know how he is and if he still does a bit of work?

Hi Tony, yes used Portguide in Wateringbury a number of times and took outboard down there - this being the reason I bought the outboard home - however, all trace of marine activity gone and the unit now sells pet food and Steve gone!
No idea how to contact him - phone number shutdown.
Probably take the old Malta back up to Woolverstone and speak to Antony over at Pin Mill. Thanks though.
