outboard prop seal replacement??

Hi, Im getting water in my lower leg oil, I am told its normally the seal behind the prop, rather than the top seal.
My engine is a Mercury 40hp 4 cyl oil injection outboard, does anyone have experience of doing this job, im an able mechanic,just after a few tips??

If your really lucky you may gain access to old seal after merely removing prop.With the seals of my Volvo outdrives you have to pull entire shaft assembly out of the leg as the perishing things can only be got at from behind.Sure somebody will be along soon witht he corrrect info.Good luck.
