Outboard Motor Bracket

Can anyone help


I am looking for a certain type of outboard bracket, It has two fixed runners on the transom and a bracket which slides up and down.

The Idea is to have the engine on a pulley to aid raising and lowering

I have seen the plastimo ones they seem a bit naff and silly prices, Just wondered about alternatives

I think you could buy some stainless channel from CG Rhees in cardiff and make your own for a fraction of the cost.

Theres a bloke with a bilgekleel Sabre 27 has an outboard on a system as you decribe.I cant remember his name just now but he has sailed all over Britain and Europe with it taking photos and writing pilot books.

Not sue about the blokes name, but I think the boat Graham is refering to is called London Apprentice.
