I inherited a Mariner 3.3hp outboard and Avon tender with my boat.
The outboard does not have a kill switch.
Can they be retro fitted? Are they readily available? Are they expensive ?
Is there a DIY alternative ?
Thanks for any advice.

Get one fitted by an outboard mechanic. They are not expensive easy to fit, not a DIY unless you know what you're doing and where to install it, does it not have an on/off switch? iof it does it's even easier to fit, just replace the on/off with a kill switch. Very important.

£7.99, I saw them the other day when I was buying a spare kill cord at £3.99. In the same type of bag, but the complete unit so not much more expensive than the cord alone, best as Scotty says to have it properly fitted, but looks easy.
