Outboard Hour meter

I have a perfectly good hour meter that is merely energised when the ignition is switched on - a spark plug energised system would not be a lot of use with a diesel outboard

The vibration hour meter looks an even better choice for an outboard. I also like the look of the led voltmeters.

Not any use for me but always good to see what is available, you just never know when either your or a friend has a need for a new or innovative product.

If you enjoy the spam we get on the boards then I apologise. It is just that I prefer real info not pretend lucky finds from the commercial world.

As for putting up with the crap, I see he did not come back, so far he has not as such put up with anything, so well done on that one. I think I have been extremely polite, why have you taken to be rude about what was a simple question?
 
Shaqra is a regular contributor. He has posted links to sites he felt might be of interest before.
 
Then I will apologise, but you have to admit, it does look very much like the spam that is often dropped onto the forums, very much like the free stuff spam currently awaiting deletion in the lounge.
 
Thanks, that's useful and led me to a possible answer for a question I was about to post. My hour meter runs off the starter switch for the (diesel) engine. I often forget to turn the key off after stopping the engine with the fuel cutout thingy. This means I can record several hours of engine running when I'm under sail. I had "invented" the vibration based meter in my minds eye, but didn't know it existed. Does anyone know if there's a UK distributer for SenDEC?

Sounds like the "TinyTach" or are there any differences?

@Talbot: you've got a diesel outboard? That sounds interesting! AFAIK there are only two yanmar diesel o/b available and both seem to be very expensive, very heavy and very noisy. Since I've never met anybody who actually owned one I'm curious!
