Outboard from USA

Anyone had experience of importing an outboard from USA to UK? I hve seen discussions about boats and electronics, but nothing on outboards. With the dollar at all time low, looks like you can get some good deals on low-time freshwater motors - if you buy inland. Some dealers even offer crating service, and some of those engines look super clean (under the covers) If I do this, any special pitfalls I should be watching for? Thanks.
