Outboard engine arm gasket advice please

I have a Tohatsu OB. I have just noticed some very small bubbles that appear to be blowing from the top gasket on the lower leg unit. So not the one around where the prop gears are ,the one above that. Iv'e tightened up the bolts thinking that natural vibration might have loosened them, but there are still some bubbles. Im wondering if this is anything to be concerned about? Or I can leave it until I next get the boat out of the water and it's an easier job than humping it off while still in its berth. Grateful for any advice , thanks

You don't mention the engine model but, on the 2 stroke 9.8 for instance, there isn't a gasket between the gearbox casing and lower leg. Tohatsu parts manuals here -

I'm a fairy proficient bodger. It sounds as if there's a bit of corrosion around the joint faces. I'd try a bead of Fernox LSX (from your friendly neighbourhood plumber's merchant) and bolt it up. I'd smear it over both faces before applying a bead to one: leave it for a few minutes to settle, then bolt up.
