Outboard Cover seal replacement.

The rubber seal on my Honda 25hp outboard cover (the one that runs round the bottom of the cowl) is in urgent need of replacement.
Honda want about £80 which I shall resist strongly. There are various edge seals made for cars, not identical, but may do the job for a fraction of the price.
Anyone had any success with similar?

Seems false economy for such an important seal. It keeps water out after all

Good point, it’s why I’m looking for an equally effective alternative which I’ve heard can be found.

Used this on my BF30, longer outer lip than original. Fits ok and seems to do the job, but early days….
