I emailed Johnson direct from their website with the serial number of one I had and they told me the date it was manufactured and the country it was made in.
C = 8, T = 3, therefore 1983 no need to look that up!
Johson 15 hp with an AC lighting output and rope starting. Standard shaft length (15" transom height)
Assuming the AC output is to a three pin socket then the wiring for lights is as shown in the top one of the digrams below. If you need DC for battery charging then there is a special adapter that plugs into the socket incorporating a rectifier. Alternatively you can make a three phase rectifier with suitably rated diodes as shown in the lower diagram.
(If by chance just a two wire output no problems and an ordinary bridge rectifier will do for charging.)
