C'est pas ici.

Yorkshire has driven me to pigeon French. I understand it more than the local accent.

Looks like I'm going to be under iron sail all the way to Whitby. I set off just before 1500, and what (very) little wind there is, is right on my nose. I'm a bit worried I'm not going to get there in time for the bridge openening... that would be annoying.

By my reckoning, I have until 1926. The race is on.

XC Weather has the wind going east 6 mph for the next 5 hours then back to NW.

Good luck with the race and hope you win.

It's just a touch East of North at the moment. The tide is against me for about another hour and a half I think, so I just start to pick up SOG then. Currently 3.6 knots. Slooooow.

you are letting the side down, N; there's no mention of getting to Whitby before the pubs open.

Hev ye no gorra whore on board ? oops, sorry, sweep.

Nope, but I've got a laptop and civ 4.

Haha. If I keep a lookout now and then, I reckon a can defeat at least one city before the laptop battery dies.

I'm defintely going for a pint when I get to Whitby. The problem is if I can't get in the marina, I'm a bit stuff for setting off again tomorrow morning, unless I can get ashore for more fuel. That said, the wind is picking up a bit tomorrow, so I might have a fuel free run up to Hartlepool. Newcastle on Saturday, then perhaps Bylth on Sunday... Need to confirm distances.

I hope to be in Scotland early next week, although I'm getting a bit nervy about it since there are no marinas for AGES, and I'm not sure the batteries will last. I suppose I might have to opperate radio silence, or at least me very sparing with the internet use.
