Excellent service should be celebrated as widely as possible, so here goes on the PBO forum

I use an Apple iPad and bought an Otter Defender case for it. I use Otter cases on three iPhones and they are superb.
I messed up the installation of the protective film on the iPad screen. Completely my fault, so I asked the UK seller of the Defender if I could buy a replacement screen, which is basically a thin sheet of plastic which sticks on to the screen of the iPad. Not possible, the only way to get a new screen protector is to buy a complete new case at about 40 quid.

I emailed the US manufacturer and asked if I could buy a screen protector film from them and have it delivered to a house in the USA.

No problem, send us the address and we will send one free of charge.

I arrived at the house last night to find a substantial box which contained two screen kits. All free of charge.

Good service , or what? No comment about the English distributor, non necessary I suspect.

By the way, the Otter defender makes the iPad a bit bulkier, but knowing that it can take the odd drop on the floor or the odd bit of spray when using it in the cockpit is very reassuring

Ditto

Had similar service here in UK. I broke a case for my I-phone, emailed US, admitted it was my fault and offered to pay and they replaced free of charge. About a year later I trod on the case and broke it, emailed them and again they replaced free of charge. Usual caveats, no connection etc

Similar on eBay at a fraction of the price

Go on, enlighten us. What is available thAt is so good and so cheap and which you have tested so carefully?
I am a cheap-skate and always want a bargain, so don't keep us in suspense, show us the way to go, or is it that I could buy a bike at Halfords or Tesco for £99 but am stupid enough to buy something more expensive and possibly better elsewhere, or I could buy a POS on eBay or actually buy a quality product and be willing to pay for it.

The only true democracy is the spending one. I vote with my pound, or dollar, and you might not approve of my choices, but unlike the bloody governments that democracy imposes on me, my purchases affect nobody else and certainly should not offend anybody.

Sorry if I am so dumb that I buy products which I like. I was only trying to pass on some positive thoughts about good customer service.
