Osmosis

One of the boats we like has had the Hot Vac method of osmosis treatment applied - succesfully it appears.
Would you lot consider buying a boat that has had osmosis badly enough to warrant this sort of treatment?

No boat ever sank due to osmosis so if it was a good boat at the right price, yes, I would.

But remember, I buy a boat to use and don't expect to get my money back when I sell.

Depends on the age and build quality of the boat, I suppose.
Guapa had osmosis treatment in 2003 - owner was very open about this.
Survey showed a very dry hull.

No issues if they have the 4 year warranty cert, and it hasnt been invoked?

Our little Jouet had Glasspox, didnt worry me at all.

Took Limbo's new owner out for a familiarisation sail yesterday. Beautiful, day, great sail. Very sad to walk away when all done. Still, bank not withstanding, shouldn't be too long without her replacement.

I bought Pipedream with a "just completed" osmosis treatment certificate Ian. Never worried about it at all.
