Hi just wondered what the panel think of the best way to connect the Osculati hook to the chain. There are no instructions ....but is it best to connect the fingers on top of the chain but that means it could fall off letting it out or underneath which is a problem for me because I use a bridle that is above the chain and windlass . Or can it fit on the side which might also help it get through my bow roller set up?

Any advice welcome

thanks in anticipation

Mike

I try to put it on top of the chain and balance it there whilst I then take up the slack on the snubber ropes. If you put it on the side or underneath the chain, it simply falls off. As we discussed previously, its best done with a 2nd person to immediately take up the slack in the snubber ropes as you place the hook on the chain or you could try holding it temporarily on the chain with a bungee cord

Thanks Mike that's perfect.
