I owned this yacht in the 1970's and wonder whether she is still around. Interesting boat. Double diagonal centreboard hard chine design, similar to a Hillyard. Apparently they built 3 shells just before the war. They were not fitted out. In about 1953, the first owner of "Betty Rose" bought the shells from Osborn's and had them trucked to Burne's of Bosham to be fitted out. He sold the other two. I believe Osborn's intended to call them the Merlin Class. I came across one of the others at Hoo Marina in the "90's" but the owner was not around. The last I heard of "Betty Rose" she was at Portmadoc.
