Here's a long shot but is anyone planning to sail/motor from the Orwell (SYH 'ish) down to Burnham sometime next Friday?

I am trying to scrounge a lift to rejoin the good ship Beyond Reason and for the last weekend of Burnham week and the delivery trip back to SYH. Happy to contribute to costs etc (unless it's a big stinker with twin KAD's or whatever that do 1 mile per gallon...in which case I'll offer to do the housework en route) /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

My alternative is to drive to SYH, taxi to Ipswich, train to London and then out to Burnham. Not the end of the world but would be better to go by boat.

Thanks Patrick

My Volvo's are not stinkers /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif and do 20 litres per hour cruising at 20 knots /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

which is very economical /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

But I'm going that way tomorrow /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
not next week /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

If you are planning to be back from Burnham on the Sunday 31st, you could get a ride back to Cambridge with me. I have to be down at SYH that day anyway. That would at least save you part of the car shuffle. Can't help with getting you to Burnham though.

'Scuse me butting in but I don't think that's the problem. I shall be bringing the boat back with Patrick on Sunday and I shall have my car at SYH so I could take Patrick back to Cambridge.

Problem, as I understand it, is that Patrick has to get to Burnham on last Friday of Burnham Week so he can race with me on Saturday and help with delivery trip back to SYH on Sunday.

So he was looking to drive to SYH, sail to Burnham, sail back, then drive home to Cambridge.

If he can't sail down to Burnham, it may be best for him to get public transport to Burnham, then accept a lift from me back to Cambridge on Sunday night.

Thanks for the input folks.

I've been inundated with PM's from gin palace owners that need help clearing the cocktail bar before the end of the season...not

So I'll be letting the train take the strain /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
