From the local paper here in Ipswich -
flood defence strategy
For a moment, I thought we were going to get something like the one in the Thames but it just seems to be two large gates to replace the sill in the New Cut (beside the entrance to the Haven) and some beefing up of the walls on shore.
Hopefully they will have looked at the potential impact on the rest of the river - and the Stour.

The Sea Cadets building on the quay side at the Lock into the Wet Dock keeps getting flooded, so they need to do something....
