Those that navigate by using the ferries might like to know that the new larger Ipswich - Rotterdam ferries are now using the river.

This one was being escorted by a tug and a workboat displaying a flashing yellow light who was offering 'helpful' advice to passing boats.

Crossed this particular convoy whilst going upriver off Woolverstone.

Are you sure they're going to Ostend?
According to this link, they will be sailing sailing the Ipswich-Rotterdam route.
This could seriously complicate my favourite method of navigation - if I'm not careful I could find myself in Rotterdam
Any visit to Rotterdam - by intent or otherwise - qualifies as cruel and unusual punishment

Fixed it now. I saw the lorry trailers on the ferry and presumed it was running the same route as before
