Not sure if I've missed posts on this one, but I stumbled on it by accident. Britain's Lost Waterlands: Escape to Swallows and Amazons Country - BBC4, Dick Strawbridge and Alice Roberts. Available on catch-up. Nice photography throughout, last 20 mins feature Pin Mill to Harwich on SB Thistle and the Walton Backwaters.
 
Thanks for the reminder. Some nice photography, but best watched with the sound muted to lose the rather pretentious and smug commentary. Not to mention the BBC's strange way of expressing all the distances in kilometres!
 
Funny, I was about to post about this last night when I stumbled upon it too.

Unfortunately the encouraging introduction did not live up to expectations and after suffering about 10 minutes of the chap with the big moustache faffing around with a leech I gave up when he made a big deal of going inside a cave.

I will try again and fast forward to the last 20 minutes.
