\'orrible weed in Bay of St Malo

Just returned from 10 days cruise out of St PP, Lezadrieux, Pontrieux, Treguier, St Malo, Granville, Cartaret and home. The weed in the Bay of St Malo was worse this year than I can remember it - its not the spaghetti like week you get below St Vaast on the East side but whole sargasso sea expanses of tough fronds that wrap round shaft and prop. Rope cutter doesnt touch it so its over the side and regular disentanglements.
Just a warning to remember your googles and favourite cutting tools!

always liked the one about the American Footballer (of limited intellegence - are'nt they all?) who was aked if he preferred grass or astro turf. His reply - 'I've never smoked astroturf...'

I've always found the Bay of St Malo easy to get into but a long way from anywhere else. Maybe the weed gets bogged down there too.
