Hi All.Does anyone have any knowledge of Orkadian under deck layout or fitting of bilge pumps?I have just bought an Orkadian which only has a manual bilge pump on the transom with a loose suction hose that can be put into the bilge well / battery compartment. There is no electric bilge pump despite there being a switch on the original panel for one.The bilge well has a tube leading forward under the under deck fuel locker. It doesn't lead directly to the forward cabin which has a void under the deck but I have so far been unable to find out if it is one large space or separate compartments. If the forward part is separate I may try to fit a pump in the sea cock well under the step into the cabin but it wouldn't be ideal as any flooding in the cabin would need to rise eight inches or so to flood the well.If the under deck layout lets water flood back to the bilge well it will be simple enough to fit an electric pump there. Any advice would be appreciated. :)CheersJohn

That's very unusual, John, as they always responded promptly when I was considering purchasing a Pilothouse 20, so definitely try again.....and hope you have better luck!

Cheers, Allan

Got to talk to someone at Orkney and they were very helpful. Turns out the whole bilge is linked by small mouse holes so any bilge water under the cabin deck will work it's way back to the battery compartment.
Thanks for advice Gordmmac and Allang.
