I own a 21ft pelican named Orkadian of tarrant,I believe this boat was in the tv series Howards way.
I was wondering if anybody has any information on the history of this boat?

The film series is now available on DVD, which we are currently watching, but haven't got to the new boats yet.

I think it makes its first appearance in series 4 or 5. It was designed and built by Jack Rolfe alothough he had to be helped out by Tom Howard and Emma because the engines he purchased off the back of a lorry didn't fit. Jack also won an export award for Orkadian when an American friend started selling her in the States.

Please note that I am not a Howard's Way geek. I have just been watching the show again on DVD. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Interestingly we bought a Pelican 21 a few months ago with very little background info, paperwork, manuals missing etc. but we are delighted with her. Your question I cannot answer but thanks for the Howards Way lead. There is another one moored at Itchenor Tarrant Maid and yet another is currently for sale on Ebay! Almost enough for a rally!! Would love to photocopy or scan a handbook if anyone has one. Also looking for handbook for ancient Incastec depth sounder. We have a mooring in Emsworth.

It wasn't that the engine didn't fit, it was because it was said not to be powerful enough. In fact a bigger engine was fitted.
