Orford Haven

Hmm, if you're as patronising face to to face then I'm not surprised the harbour master didn't take a shine to you. ;)
No dear. But extraordinary cheek to accuse me of being patronsing after your last post! . No reason not to carry a phone indeed! What about those that don't have them? Good Lord!

Still, whatever you say...

Anyone who starts a post with 'Yes dear' or 'No dear' is just trying to get a rise, its also a tacit admission of losing the argument.

And yes, its 2021, there is literally no reason to not have a mobile phone when you can literally buy them for less than the price of a cheap meal, if you really don't want people to call you on it then don't give out the number or leave it turned off.

If the nasty man was rude to you then I'm sorry, but I found him to be fine as did apparently some others.

Quick update on what is a divided thread, we were in the ore a couple of weeks ago, have stayed at orford a lot over the years, i was a bit mindful over what i was going to come across character wise, harbourmaster was great , giving good courteous advise after a difficult entry to the river- moral of story there, dont believe advice that you are sceptical about just because it suits your plans. you will go aground.... anyway:oops: - philip was good and professional with us and made us very welcome. Hope others continue to have good experiences there also.
