The photos were taken Sunday 29.05.11 at LW when it was predicted that there would have been 1.0M above CD They were taken from just in front of the shore marker beacon

The shoal extending outward from the bulge in the bank prior to Barthorps creek apears to extend further than the photo shows and is hard clay so a track well into the centre of the channel seems well advised.

If you look hard enough you can just see the Oxley and safe water bouys in the entrance photo it does apear that the deeper water is off to starboard of the transit between the Oxley and Weir bouys

FYI we came out of the river Ore following the temporary chartlet at HW -2Hrs on 8th May and the shallowest reading we had was 1.7m below the keel, (1.3m) at approximately 1/3 of the way between Weir and Oxley. When we returned on 13th May we crossed at HW -3Hrs and the depth at the same place was only 1.1m below the keel. We did note that there was marginally more depth to S/B. When coming into the river be ready for the fast set flowing upstream and take note of the precautions on the final version of the chartlet. http://www.eastcoastrivers.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/Ore-May-2011-web.pdf
