Hi,

I am in the process of placing a Mizzan sail on the back of my fishing boat (in Norway) and as wondering if there are anyone here who knows of a reliable sailmaker in UK that A. can make a 6-7kvm sail out of PVC 550g per square meter strength (the sort they use on truck canopies), and B. has either a web-site or actually replies to mail enquiries?

Cheers,

Kevin

Hi,

Thanks for reply.

have now sent them a mail. In Norway the usual sail makers can also make this type of sail, just wondering if there is anything to gain price wise there as I still have family in UK.

What!!!! buying something in the UK cheaper...you got to be joking....perhaps ought to start a thread 'what can you buy here cheaper than elsewhere?'

I can assure that apart from Moose steaks, snow, and perhaps water, and electrical goods (computers f.eks), almost everything is cheaper in UK than Norway!

A brand new ford fiesta here with lowest specs possible would set you back at least 15 grand, a standard Toyota Avensis estate car would set you back 25 grand, a pint of beer will cost you 5-6quid, and the cheapest loaf of bread I have seen recently was over a quid, with a usual good quality oalf going for 2 quid. I could go on but you get the point.

Anyway, no more suggestions about places that can produce a pvc sail?

Regards,

Kevin
