I am trying to find out what is generally considered to be the ORCi typeform: In a general sense, what kind of boats do well under ORCi and what kind do not?
One thing I have noticed, is that the rating certificates for racer/cruiser yachts with sprits and asymmetrical spinnakers frequently show the downwind target TWA at 16 and 20kts to be 175-180deg.
This is clearly wrong, but is it generally accepted that ORCi favours symmetrical spinnakers over asymmetrical?
